Quickchange is a band formed in 2022, part of a younger generation of musicians coming into the scene post-lockdown. The band started when Lucas Warnock began workshopping some songs of his with his classmate Jarai Sampath, another student at Mt. Pleasant High School at the time. The two were also joined by Elijah Burns on drums, who had graduated the previous year. The group played their first show in early 2023
The band recorded their first EP with Diego Romero-Aros and Joni Elfers at Currylands Studios in August 2023, with the release Lip Service being self-released with distribution from Impetus later that year.
In late summer 2024, Quickchange! travelled to Portland, Maine to record with Joni, who relocated as an engineer at Prism Analog. The group recorded their upcoming full-length, Loud Quiet Loud, out June 27 on Impetus as a CD or LP.
An outtake from the session "Wifebeater" is featured on the Impetus compilation of DE punk music, Between The Cities.
